Bandage:

✧ You know your skin. If the bandage feels uncomfortable, you can remove it early.

✧ Leave bandage on for at least two hours.

✧ If your bandage leaks, please remove it. (If plasma can get out, bacteria can get in)

✧ When removing your bandage first wash your hands with Dial Gold antibacterial soap & remove the bandage. Wash your hands again, then gently clean the tattoo with bare hands & soapy water. While moist from being cleaned, you may apply a small amount of lotion or ointment to the area.

First 2 Weeks:

✧ When showering, do not scrub the area. You may allow soapy water to run over the tattoo & very gently wash the area. Once out while still damp, apply your lotion of choice to the area & allow it to air dry. If you must dry the tattoo after bathing, use a disposable towel & dab lightly. Do not wipe your healing tattoo with a cloth towel, we all know it probably seen some things. Like bacteria.

First 4 Weeks:

✧ Do not allow your tattoo to soak in water for at least 4 weeks. No pools, lakes, baths, rivers, ectoplasmic ponds, hot tubs, etc.

✧ Do not scratch your tattoo. If your tattoo itches, you may need to clean & moisturize it. You may also wet a paper towel with witchhazel & hold it on the area that needs relief for a few moments.

✧ Do not over-moisturize. Typically, you can get away with cleaning & moisturizing when you wake up, at bed time, & maybe once or twice during the day. Typically smaller tattoos do not need moisturizer/witchhacel more than 5 times a day.

✧ Avoid direct sun exposure & tanning beds. The better you protect your tattoo from the sun the longer it will remain vibrant.
